Introducing New Features Across People Speak
We've been hard at work, and we're excited to share a wave of new features and improvements rolling out across People Speak. These updates come straight from feedback shared by the communities and staff who use People Speak every day, and they're designed to give you more control over how your pages look, richer ways for residents to participate, and greater peace of mind that your data is always safe.
What's New?
1. Customize Your Community's Look with Per-Body Theme Colors
Every body now has its own public color palette. Instead of a single site-wide theme, you can set colors that match each body's brand and identity directly from the admin area, and they'll carry through the header, footer, and public pages automatically. It's a simple way to make each community's space feel truly its own.
2. Attach Multiple Files to a Single Comment
Public input is often more than just words. Residents can now attach multiple files to a single comment using an easy drag-and-drop uploader, so they can share supporting documents, photos, and other materials all in one place. This is fully configurable for each body and project, giving you control over where richer submissions are welcome.
3. One Comment Per Person, Per Item
To keep public input fair and balanced, we've added a per-body setting that limits each email address to a single comment on a given item. The system intelligently recognizes returning commenters, skips previously rejected submissions, and provides a clear, friendly message so everyone understands the rule. The result is a more equitable conversation where every voice is heard once.
4. More Control Over Your Public Pages
We've added new layout controls so your pages always look their best. Admins can now choose whether a body's hero image appears on its public landing page, and bodies that don't host meetings will no longer display an empty meetings column, keeping every landing page clean and relevant.
Cleanup and Fixes
As always, we've paired these features with improvements that protect your work behind the scenes:
Trash & Restore for Your Content
Accidents happen, and now they're easy to undo. Items, meetings, comments, and projects are no longer permanently deleted with a single click. Instead, they move to a recoverable Trash, where you can review what's been removed and restore it in one click, with related content brought back automatically. It's a meaningful safeguard that means a stray click no longer puts your data at risk.
Behind-the-Scenes Reliability
We've strengthened our backup monitoring and deployment process so the platform stays fast, stable, and dependable, day in and day out.

At People Speak, we're committed to making community engagement more intuitive, flexible, and trustworthy. These updates are designed to:
